The music continues.
The healing continues.
The ground-breaking research into music and the brain continues.
For more than 20 years, The Institute for Music and Neurologic Function (IMNF) has been bringing the power of music to patients, clinicians and researchers around the world. These collaborations have brought music therapy to new levels of awareness and clinical application. It has not been easy - but you knew all along that we were pioneers, that every ounce of support and encouragement would be needed to bring music therapy to those who needed it. And you have been there – for people with Aphasia, Parkinson's disease, and Alzheimer's disease, and people with anxiety, depression and other challenges.
It's been a pioneering effort: trying to get a footing, making the case; promoting interventions that make a huge difference; understanding what is important—and sometimes seeing what others did not see.
We are succeeding in our mission, with strong support from our new partner, Wartburg, and from committed supporters like you. You have been an integral part of IMNF and together we can make a difference in the lives of those who need us most—now and for future generations.
It's a perfect fit for the IMNF. At Wartburg, after only a few months, the IMNF has launched programs that provide music therapy for veterans with PTSD, individuals living with Parkinson's disease or Aphasia and now children with developmental delays. These clinical programs have so much to offer to our patients and the research that comes out of our work will benefit many others.
We know too that this new partnership will help the IMNF build upon our growing knowledge of music and the brain and develop ever more effective music therapy treatments to awaken, stimulate, and heal through the extraordinary power of music.
As always we ask for your support. We couldn't do it without you.
